About us

Our fiber comes from our partners' alpacas, which live in the high Andean regions of Peru, between 3,500 and 5,500 meters above sea level. Since 2012, these partners have implemented good feeding and breeding practices for their alpacas, ensuring their well-being, caring for the environment, and improving their own quality of life. Both Coopecan and its partners have obtained the RAS Certification (Responsible Alpaca Standard), which objectively demonstrates that our fiber comes from alpacas that are not mistreated and do not harm the environment.
