LADIES SCARF

STEPS TO KNIT A SCARF

• 200 grams of medium yarn in Inty Yaykuma color
• Knitting needles #5

Recommendation: Wind your hanks into balls.

• Approximate size of the scarf: 1.50 meters long.
• Stitches: Stockinette, Open Weave, Garter.

1 Waistband or edge (4 rows)

Start by casting on 29 stitches on the needles.Next, Knit or Garter

The first stitch is always knitted

1st row: Knit stitch-garter
2nd row: Turn and knit.
3rd row: Knit stitch
4th row: Bind off in knit

Tip:To ensure you are knitting on the right side, the beginning yarn should always be in your right hand.

Repeat the garter stitch (4 rows) on all four sides of the scarf.

2 Design of the beginning of the garment

Note: Continue with the garter stitch (4 stitches) before starting each row of the design part.

5th row: 1K - 1 YO - 3K - K3tog - 3K - 1 YO.
How to knit 3 stitches together (K3tog): Take two stitches, make a two-stitch cross (in X), and take three stitches together. 

6th row:1P - 9K - repeat and end with 1P
7th row: 2P - 1 YO - 2K - K3tog - 2K - 1 YO - 1P
8th row: 2P - 7K - 1P
9th row: 3P - 1 YO - 1K - K3tog - 1K - 1 YO - 2P
10th row: 3P - 5K - 2P
11th row: 4P - 1 YO - K3tog - 1 YO - 3P

Recommendation: Knit this design 5 times vertically and 5 times horizontally.

3 Body of the garment

The body is composed of stockinette stitch, with K3tog and 1 YO on each side.Continue with the 4 garter stitches on the edgesand start with the design stitches.

Start with the design stitches, we count the 4P to D that we are going to do;4K - 1 YO - 2 stitches crossed (in X) and take 3 stitches together - adjust and 1 YO - 10K - 1 YO - K3tog.

Continue knitting until the desired length is reached.

Repeat the instructions from step #2 for the beginning of the garment. Finish by knitting the border in garter stitch (4 rows). On the last stitch, pull the loop up tightly and cut the excess yarn, leaving about 5 cm, tighten well and DONE!
